North Suntreso (Ash), July 25, GNA-Pastor Francis Akresi, a Pastor of the Calvary Temple Assemblies of God Church at North Suntreso in Kumasi, has called on Ghanaians, especially Christians, to demonstrate biblical values and principles in their working environments.
They should be ready to work, avoid excuses and complaints, and pay attention to whatever they are doing.
According to him, for Christians to attract the blessings of God, they must exhibit godly examples at their places of work and endeavour to eschew acts and practices that did not honour God.
“As a Christian, you must avoid negligence of work, you must exhibit godly examples at any place, whether working for God, your work places or working for yourself.
Anything you are doing, do it well, and this would help you attract the blessing of God,” he advised.
Pastor Akresi, who gave the advice to the church members during a church service on Sunday, said Christians ought to put in much effort and change their attitudes towards work.
He was preaching on the topic “Avoid negligence of work”, with the Bible text coming from Jeremiah 48:10-16 and Nehemiah 4:16-23.
According to the Pastor, pretending to work at workplaces would not yield any better results, therefore, there was the need to develop a positive attitude towards the nation’s building aspirations saying that “nation building was a shared responsibility.”
Therefore, Christians were expected to demonstrate patriotism, hard work, selflessness and honesty in their respective fields of endeavour to increase productivity.
“Sometimes when you go to some offices, the workers pretend that they are working but let me tell you the truth, this would not bring you any better results in the end.
You need to develop positive attitudes towards work, no matter the working conditions you find yourself in,” Pastor Akresi told the church members.
