DCOP Kwesi Ofori bids farewell to Police Service

Accra, July 19, GNA – Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Samuel Kwesi Ofori, the Director General of Ghana Police Service’s (GPS) Public Affairs Directorate, has retired from active service.

This follows his attainment of age 60.

The Service will on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, organise a pull-out (retirement service) and farewell ceremony for him at the National Police Training School.

Dr George Akuffo Dampare, the Inspector General of Police, as well as members of the Police Management Board will grace the occasion.

DCOP Ofori served 34 years in the GPS and rose through the ranks to become a DCOP.

Before his retirement, he served in other capacities, including the District Police Commander of Tafo Pankrono in the Ashanti Region, Adabraka Divisional Police Command, Accra, and at the VVIP Unit of the Jubilee House and the Head of Operations at the Accra Regional Police Command.
