Tamale, June 23, GNA – Saint Charles Minor Seminary Senior High School in Tamale has taken delivery of 20 laptops and a projector to aid the teaching of Information and Communication Technology.
The items were donated by the North America branch of the National Association of Saint Charles Old Boys Association (SCOBA).
Mr Victor Ninsau, the National President of SCOBA, who presented the items to the school in Tamale, said, “The next batch of this donation will be delivered in September, this year.”
Mr Ninsau spoke about fire outbreaks recorded in the school, which destroyed some facilities, including a dormitory block.
He, therefore, appealed to the government and organisations to support SCOBA to complete the dormitory block of the school, which was destroyed by fire in 2017, to reduce overcrowding among the students and enhance effective teaching and learning.
Dr Peter Attafuah, the Northern Regional Director of Education, lauded the efforts of SCOBA, emphasising that quality education required effective collaboration among stakeholders.
Reverend Father Robert Quarshie Amegah, the Assistant Headmaster of the School, commended SCOBA for the support and said, “This kind gesture will serve as motivation for both students and staff in ensuring that our students give their best in lifting the image of the school.”
