World Vision Ghana donates PPE to Nkwanta South Municipal Hospital

Nkwanta (O/R), June 11, GNA-World Vision Ghana, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Nkwanta South Municipal Hospital to enhance healthcare delivery.

The donation was in line with the Organisation’s activities to help fight and control diseases among children.

Mr Kennedy Amponsah Kyeremeh, the Nkwanta-Krachi Cluster Project Officer, said the hospital, since its establishment in the Municipality played a key role in fighting COVID-19 pandemic.

He said World Vision donated 30 boxes of poly-coated gowns to the health facility to protect health workers who risked their lives to ensure quality healthcare delivery.

Mr Kyeremeh said the organisation would continue to ensure the total well-being of children and partner Ghana Health Service to support and protect health workers from infectious diseases.

He said when the doctors and nurses were protected, they would have the confidence to work to protect the patients in the facility.

Madam Patience Frimpomaa Kisiwaa, Hospital Administrator, received the items and expressed gratitude to the organisation for the support.

The organisation is also presenting same PPE to other health facilities in the Oti Region, including Krachi Nchumuru District Hospital and the Jasikan Hospital.
