Biakoye MP presents bus to constituency executives

Bowiri Kwamikrom (O/R), June 4, GNA – Mr Kwadjo Nyapon-Aboagye, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Biakoye Constituency in the Oti Region, has presented an 18-seater bus to the constituency office of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), at a colourful ceremony organised at Bowiri-Kwamikrom on Friday.

He told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that, the donation formed part of his commitment to resourcing the party at the constituency level.

He said the bus would serve as a means of transportation for members of the NDC in the Biakoye Constituency as well as the party’s executives.

The Member of Parliament enumerated the drilling of more than 25 boreholes, upgrading of feeder roads, organising free eye screening for constituents, securing loans for traders, paying school fees for students in the constituency and many more as part of his development support to the constituency.

Speaking at a durbar, Mr Gyapon Kwadjo, the Regional Chairman assured party functionaries he would secure the Guan seat any time the Electoral Commission (EC) decided to conduct fresh election and that of Hohoe seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He asked the MP to do the necessary documentation of the vehicle and present it to the constituency executives.

Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the national chairperson of the NDC called on the regular members of the party to take the branch elections seriously as the road towards election 2024 had just started, stressing that the branch elections were pivotal in ensuring victory for the party.

The event was attended by Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia (General Secretary), Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo (National Chairman), Prof Jane Naana Agyemang (2020 Running mate), Mr James Gunu (Regional Secretary of Volta Region), Mr Kofi Adams (MP for Buem), Mr Solomon Kuyon (MP for Krachi Nchumuru), and Mr Oti Bless (MP for Nkwanta North).
