Seoul, Apr. 6, (dpa/GNA) - South Korean carmaker Hyundai reported a drop in its vehicle sales in March on Tuesday, as well as recording an annual drop in sales since last March.
The Seoul-headquartered firm sold 313,926 vehicles for the month of March, down from 378,246 vehicles sold during the same period a year ago.
Hyundai sold 305,331 vehicles for February 2022. The group’s domestic vehicle sales for the month of March stood at 52,883 vehicles, compared to the 73,810 vehicles sold in March 2021.
In addition, the company’s overseas sales in March totalled 261,043 vehicles, compared to 304,436 vehicles during the same month last year.
Hyundai’s domestic vehicle sales for the year to date period posted at 152,098 units, compared with 185,413 units, on a year-on-year basis. The company’s overseas sales for the year to date period registered at 749,815 units as against 814,415 units.
