Accra, March 30, GNA- President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo says he expects an outstanding performance from the Black Stars of Ghana at the 2022 Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) World Cup in Qatar, later in the year.
The Black Stars drew 1-1 with the Super Eagles of Nigeria yesterday at the 60,000 capacity Moshood Abiola National Stadium to qualify to the Mundial on an away goal rule after playing goalless in Kumasi four days ago.

The President in the 2022 State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Wednesday urged the team to put up a sterling performance at the World Cup adding that, the team’s qualification had brought joy to Ghanaians.
“This qualification for the world cup in Qatar has brought so much joy to Ghanaians, and we are looking forward to an outstanding performance in Qatar.”
He called on Members of Parliament to join him congratulate the playing body, technical team and the Black Stars Management Committee on edging out perennial rivals, Nigeria to pick a slot to the biggest football competition.
