Greek prime minister tests positive for coronavirus after Turkey trip

Athens, Mar. 14, (dpa/GNA) – Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Monday that he had tested positive for the coronavirus and would self-isolate.

“I will isolate myself and work from home for the next few days,” Mitsotakis said in a video posted on social media.

He appealed to his compatriots to get vaccinated. “The virus is still there.”

Mitsotakis had travelled to Istanbul at the weekend to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
