Accra, March 08, GNA-A musical concert in commemoration of Ghana’s 65th independence anniversary is to be held on March 9th and 12th, 2022, in Denmark and Sweden respectively.
The first event will be at the Skate Centre in Denmark and the second at Saint Peter’s Church in Stockholm, Sweden.
The concerts, which will feature the Winneba Youth Choir prominently, is aimed at promoting Ghana’s rich art, music and literature to the world through choral music.
The concerts are under the auspices of the Ghana Embassy in Copenhagen and are expected to draw people from all walks of life, including Ghanaians in Denmark and Sweden and in the diaspora.
Mrs Sylvia Annoh, Ghana’s Ambassador to Denmark told the Ghana News Agency that the concerts were also expected to serve as a platform to connect with Ghanaians in the two countries to worship God, share strategic plans and deepen relationships.
The Ambassador said the concerts would be used to re-unite Ghanaians in the diaspora to support Ghana to bounce back better in line with the theme for the 65th Independence Anniversary celebrations -“Working Together, bouncing together better.”
Mr Emmanuel Amponsah, the Choir Administrator of Winneba Youth Choir, told the GNA that, “we have songs from the Volta, Northern, Middle and Southern sectors. Our dressing and dance will depict Ghana and by that we will be showcasing the rich culture of our country to Europe,” he said.
