Ashaiman gets enhanced police visibility

Tema, Feb. 10, GNA – The police have pledged to maintain a strong presence in Ashaiman to deal with the increasing crime and ensure adequate security protection for people in the area.

Police Superintendent Kwabena Otuo Acheampong, the Tema Regional Crime Officer, said they were deploying both uniformed and plain clothed officers to the place rein in those who had chosen to live outside the law.

They had strengthened their intelligence gathering to stay ahead of the criminals.

Supt. Otuo Acheampong was speaking at a seminar organized by the Ghana News Agency’s Tema Regional Office.

The event also served as a motivational platform that recognize the editorial contribution of reporters towards national growth and promotion of the Tema GNA outfit as the industrial news hub.

The Regional Crime Officer said they wanted to give assurance and confidence to the public through the physical presence of uniformed officers

He underlined their determination to do all they could to bring down crime and to make the society safe for the people.

Mr Francis Ameyibor, GNA Tema Regional Manager, urged everybody to prioritize their personal security noting that, security was a shared responsibility.
