A very overwhelmed James Akwaboah (winner) said he had worked very hard for the trophy and would do well to go professional and defend the trophy next year.

“I trained very well and maintained my composure throughout the two days and was happy to emerge victorious ahead of some of the best golfers in the country,” he stated.

He called on corporate Ghana and individuals to come on board to support Captain One in subsequent competitions as it would go a long way to help raise the standards of the game in the country.
