NGO Paints Kantankrubo D/A JHS in Juaboso District

Kantankrubo(WN/R), Jan. 21, GNA-A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) XENDER Foundation, has painted the Kantankrubo D/A Junior High School block in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region to give external beauty to the school block.

Commissioning and handing over the painted school to the community leaders and school management team, Mr Alexander Adjei, President of XENDER Foundation said the painting of the School formed part of an initiative by the Foundation to paint at least one School block in each of the nine districts of the Western North Region.

He indicated that a serene and clean environment could help attract pupils to attend school regularly to learn, hence the initiative.

Mr Adjei pointed out that the government alone could not bring all the needed development in the country, stressing that development especially at the local level was a shared responsibility.

He announced that the Foundation would in March this year move to the Akontombra District to paint another school and engage in other social intervention programmes as the mission of the Foundation was to touch lives and put smiles on the faces of people, especially school children.

He disclosed that the Foundation last year provided about 150 teaching and learning materials to pupils of Santase D/A primary and Junior high school in the Juaboso District.

He said the Foundation also donated food items worth GH¢3,560 to the Kumasi Central Prisons and Office equipment as well as PPEs worth GH¢6, 534 to the Wiawso Government hospital among others.

Mr Adjei called on other benevolent organizations to support the government’s development agenda.

Nana Ekyeah Kwame II, Chief of Kantankrubo commended XENDER Foundation for the initiative and asked the school management committee to ensure proper maintenance of the facility.

He called on traditional authorities to give such organisations the needed support.
