Battor (VR), Jan. 20, GNA – Dr Archibald Yao Letsa, the Volta Regional Minister has sent a word of caution to all Assembly staff in the region to desist from acts of conflict of interest and financial misappropriation in their respective Assemblies.
He said there was the need for all staff to remain committed and faithful to the tasks expected of them at any time.
Dr Letsa said this during a meeting with staff and leaders of the North Tongu District Assembly as part of his tour to all the 18 Municipal and District Assemblies in the region.
He charged every staff to respect authority as well as going the extra mile to place their District in a good position always.
Dr Letsa also said acts of indiscipline must not be tolerated in the local governance system.”Give a query to any untoward behavior of any staff whenever necessary,” he added.
The engagement was aimed at finding possible ways in addressing some weak value systems and non-adherence to service delivery standards towards propelling good performance in the year and beyond.
Staff of the North Tongu Assembly were also given the opportunity to interact with the team on issues of concern.
Reverend Eric Adza-Tetteh, the Regional Economic Planning Officer who was also part of the team, entreated staff members to push the economic activities in the District for a successful year, which led to good performance scoring.
Mr Divine Osborn Divine Fenu, the District Chief Executive for North Tongu, also assured the Minister and his team of their continuous effort in moving the area forward.
The team also paid a courtesy call on Togbe Patamia Dzekley VII, Paramount Chief of Battor Traditional Area, and also the Vice President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs.
