Kumasi, Jan. 1, GNA – Reverend Ransford Obeng, the General Overseer of the Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC), has asked Ghanaians to maintain a close relationship with God to experience His goodness and mercies.
He said there was no better intermediary than speaking to God directly as a person no matter the situation.
Delivering his New Year message at the church premises at Ayigya, Rev. Obeng said it was needless to seek the face of God through a third party when one could communicate to God without any hindrance.
“I want to encourage every one of us that anytime we are facing difficulties let us lift our eyes and talk to God. He is not far away from us and He will hear us,” he counselled.
“Don’t go to anybody. There is only one mediator between Man and God and that is the Man Jesus Christ,” he emphasised.
He advised people not to rely on other persons in seeking the face of God, saying, “Forget about resorting to other people thinking that other people are closer to God than you.”
He said God had been faithful to Ghanaians throughout 2021 amid the global pandemic and called on Christians to renew their faith in God for a prosperous 2022.
“When we began the year in the heat of the pandemic, nobody ever thought we would get so far but God has been so good to us that in spite of this global pandemic He has kept us by His power and His grace,” he stated.
