Philanthropist feed widows

Kparekpare (O/R), Dec. 31, GNA— Mr, Maxwell Amenyo, a timber Merchant of Kparekpare in the Krachi East Municipality of the Oti Region has supported widows and underprivileged persons in the area with assorted consumables as a Christmas gift.

The donation, worth thousands of Ghana cedis is aimed at feeding the widows and their children during this festive season.

The items include bags of rice, tin tomatoes, bottles of cooking oils, and cash to bring them at par with the festive season with smiles.

Mr, Amenyo told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that his gesture again stemmed from a social responsibility, giving back to the environment that supported his business.

He said God should use the Christmas season as a bridge to help the poor and the needy in society.

Madam Kaliwa Mary, a beneficiary commended Mr Amenyo for his gesture and asked for God’s blessing for him in all endeavour.
