Assemblyman donates motorbike to Xavi health centre

Horti (VR), Dec. 20, GNA— Mr Shine Foster Agorsor, the Assembly Member for Xavi Electoral Area in the Akatsi South Municipality, has donated a motorbike he received from the Local Government Ministry to the Xavi Health Centre.

Mr Agorsor also presented cartons of electric bulbs and malaria testing kits to the centre.

The motorbike, given to the Assembly Member, through the Assembly, was to facilitate his movement.

However, Mr Agorsor decided to donate the motorbike to the Health Centre as a contribution towards enhancing quality health care delivery in the area.

Mr Agorsor, who handed the brand-new Supreme type motorbike during an event at Horti to the Xavi Health Centre, indicated the move would enable easy movement by the health workers in response to health-related issues in the area.

“I am thankful to the Chiefs, Elders, and my Community Members for their efforts and support for a common goal.

“Akatsi South is rising,” he said.

Mr Agorsor asked the people in the area and the entire Municipality to get involved in contributing to health care delivery.

He also promised to champion active community-member participation in activities that sought to bring development to the area.

Mr Agorsor, one of the youngest assembly members in Akatsi South, reiterated his commitment to serve and bring accelerated development to the area.

Dr George Nyarko, the Akatsi South Municipal Director of Health, on behalf of the management of the health centre, expressed gratitude to Mr Agorsor for the gesture.

He encouraged other community leaders to emulate the initiative as part of their contribution towards the development of the constituency.

He promised to ensure the machine would be used for the intended purposes.
