Several injured in Hong Kong Fire

Hong Kong, Dec 15 (dpa/GNA) – At least 13 people were injured in a fire in a Hong Kong high-rise building, the South China Morning Post reported on Wednesday.

The fire broke out in a control room of the 38-storey World Trade Center in the Causeway Bay district. From there, it spread to a scaffold on the facade.

Most of those injured complained of feeling unwell due to the heavy smoke and were taken to hospitals.

The fire brigade rescued more than 1,200 people from the building, hundreds of whom were waiting on the roof to be evacuated.
