Kotoso (E/R), Dec 1, GNA – The Reyian Foundation, a Non- Governmental Organization (NGO) has supported the Kotoso Health Centre with a set of vehicle tyres and streetlights worth GHS5,300.00 to help maintain the only ambulance that serves over 30 communities in the area.
The donation followed a request made by the facility to the NGO.
At a ceremony to present the tyres to the facility, Mr Ian Tweneboah Kodua said the facility was facing problems of conveying referral cases to the bigger facilities in Kwahu, hence the donation.
He said it had been the foundation’s priority to contribute to the health needs of inhabitants at Kotoso and promised to help upgrade the health centre to enable them render quality healthcare services to the people.
He said since the inception of the foundation in 2018, it had contributed towards the welfare of the vulnerable in society.
He mentioned the presentation of school bags to pupils of Amoah D/A basic school, the donation of food items to over 20 aged at Nkawkaw and the SOS Children Villages Ghana at Asiakwa as part of some of the interventions carried out by the foundation.
Mr Kodua therefore called for collaboration with other NGOs and well- to- do natives of Kwahu to enable the foundation extend its kind gesture to other deprived institutions in Kwahu and other areas.
Mr Mohammed Mutala Abilene, the Kwahu East District Director of Health Services who received the items on behalf of the facility thanked the NGO for the donation and appealed to other NGOs and philanthropists to come support the Kotoso health centre.
