FIFA to announce dates for playoffs next week

Accra, Nov. 19, GNA – The Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) has said dates for the African Qualifiers Playoffs will be announced next week

A statement from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) said the dates would be announced after next week’s Executive Committee meeting of the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF).

According to the statement, teams would be seeded according to the FIFA Coca Cola ranking.

The Executive Committee Meeting would be held on Thursday, November 25, 2021 – on the eve of the Extraordinary CAF General Assembly that would be hosted also in Cairo on Friday, November 26, 2021.

Algeria, Tunisia, Nigeria, Cameroon, DR Congo, Mali, Egypt, Ghana, Senegal, and Morocco have advanced to the playoff and are one step away from booking a ticket to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
