Tijjaniya Muslims sympathises with Vice President and family

Tema, Sept. 13, GNA – The Tijjaniya Muslims Movement of Ghana (TMMG) under the leadership of Zaeem Sheikh Imam Abdul Wadudi Haruna on Monday sent a message of condolence to the Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his family on the passing of their beloved mother Hajiya Mariama Bawumia.

“The Almighty Allah promises in the holy Quran every soul will taste death. Then to Us will you be returned” (29:57)” the Tijjaniya Muslims Movement stated in a statement signed by Alhaji Khuzaima Mohammed Osman the Executive Secretary, and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Tema.

The statement said: “What is however pleasing to Allah and us is the fact that our dear mother passed away as a devoted Muslim who practiced five daily prayers, observed the 30 days fasting of Ramadan, performed the Hajj, and had paid her Zakat, constituting the observation and fulfillment of the five fundamental pillars of Islam.

“And die not except in a state of Islam. Truly, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam,” the statement said.

The statement said: “The Holy Prophet Muhammed may Allah be pleased with Him and His Household said Death in Islam is the termination of worldly life and the beginning of another in the grave towards the heaven or hell”.

Allah says in the Quran “Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to them – out of jealous animosity between themselves. And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah, then indeed, Allah is swift in [taking] account” (3:19).

“We pray to Allah to forgive all the wrongs and trespasses of our dear mother and grant her the highest place in the Heavens.

“We once again extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family and pray to Allah to grant them heavy hearts and fortitude to be able to withstand the lost and overcome it,” the statement stated.
