Adaklu Kodzobi Assemblies consecrates deacons

Adaklu Kodzobi (V/R), July 5, GNA – The Assemblies of God, Ghana, Salvation Temple at Adaklu Kodzobi in the Adaklu District at the weekend consecrated five Deacons and Deaconesses and inducted into office leaders of the men’s, women and youth ministries and the Church board.

The Deacons are Deacon John Nyatsikor, Deacon Ebenezer Boateng, Deacon Martin Meble, Deaconess Peace Dzineku and Deaconess Alice Meble.

Members of the Church board are Rev. Dr Peter Etsey, Mrs Anastasia Etsey, Deacon John Nyatsikor, Deacon Martin Meble, Deacon Ebenezer Boateng, Deaconess Alice Meble and Deaconess Peace Dzineku.

They were consecrated and inducted into office by Rev. Samuel Amegboe, secretary of the Ho West Assemblies of God.

Rev. Amegboe, in a sermon on the theme: “understanding the call to leadership” reminded the officers that a leadership position was a call from God.

He, therefore, urged the officers to forgo their comfort and leisure and work to meet the needs of the people they lead.

Rev. Amegboe, who is also the Pastor in charge of the Awesomely Tsito Assemblies of God, told them to connect themselves to God to enable them to preach the message that would carry eternal values.

He said as leaders they ought to be humble and be role models for others.

Rev. Amegboe said most people were buying their way into ministry, adding that such people were bringing the ministry and the profession into disrepute.

He called on church members to pray for their leaders as the task on their hands was enormous.

Rev. Dr Peter Etsey, Pastor in charge of the church, appealed to them not to see their new positions as a right but a privilege to work and win more souls for the Lord.

He appealed to them to shy away from all forms of vices that would soil their reputation and bring the name of the church into disrepute.
