Andre Ayew, Asamoah Gyan honoured at Ghana Football Awards

Accra, April 4, GNA – Black Stars Captain Andre Dede Ayew was adjudged Footballer of the Year at the third edition of Ghana Football Awards (GFA) held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on Saturday.

Ayew who had a stellar outing for both club and country edged his fellow countrymen Kudus Mohammed and Gladson Awako to bag the topmost award on the night.

Ghana Black Stars top scorer Asamoah Gyan was adjudged Player of the Decade from 2011-2020 considering his remarkable achievement at both club and country level.

Kotoko’s Chief Executive Officer Nana Yaw Amponsah bagged the Best Ghanaian Club CEO while Accra Hearts of Oak won the Best Male Team of the Year.

Women’s Premier League and FA Cup winners Hassacas Ladies were deservedly the Best Female Team of the Year while Ampem Darkoa’s Ophelia Amponsah won Women’s Football of the Year.
