Accra, July 3, GNA – The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee has dismissed Accra Hearts of Oak’s protest against city rivals, Great Olympics in relation to their Ghana Premier League Matchday 28 match.
Accra Hearts of Oak filed a protest to the GFA that Great Olympics fielded a player Kwame Rhule who was ineligible to play in the match-day 28 fixture which ended 1-1.
Hearts in their petition argued that Rhule had falsified documents, hence was not qualified to play in the Ghana Premier League.
However, the Disciplinary Committee in its ruling dismissed the protest and suspended the player for the misconduct.
The ruling said article 28 (2)(b) of the GFA Premier League regulations found Great Olympics not guilty in the case hence the protest quashed.
