AshCell unveils logo with a donation of white canes to Ghana Blind Union

Kumasi, June 17, GNA – Ash Cell Limited, Distributors of MTN Ghana in the Ashanti Region, has donated some quantities of white canes to the Ghana Blind Union (GBU) at a brief ceremony in Kumasi.

The donation formed part of a series of activities to mark the 10th anniversary of the company, which falls on July 1, 2021.

The company also unveiled its 10th anniversary logo, having worked with MTN as the main distributor in the Region since 2011.

Mr. Jerry Otchi, the Corporate Services Executive of Ash Cell, said 10 years of excellent service delivery was worth celebrating as a company to renew relationships with various stakeholders going forward.

He said as a corporate body, Ash Cell had over the years discharged its corporate social responsibilities by supporting vulnerable groups as well as public institutions that rendered services to the masses.

“Apart from today’s donation, we are also going to donate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to three hospitals in the Region in the coming days as a way of giving back to society for their patronage of our services,” he disclosed.

He thanked MTN Ghana for the confidence reposed in the company as well as sub-distributors and retailers whose patronage, he said, had kept the company going.

Madam Adwoa Baah Obeng, Senior Manager, Branch Network Services, MTN Northern Ghana, praised Ash Cell for demonstrating commitment, perseverance, hard work and innovation as a partner of MTN.

She said Ash Cell had been one of the best distributors of MTN considering the huge investment in infrastructure and the commitment of its staff which was translating into service delivery.

She also commended the company for impacting society by supporting various groups and deserving institutions in the Region.

Mr. George Kyeremateng, Regional Chairman of the GBU who received the canes on behalf of members commended Ash Cell for the support which he noted would be of great help to beneficiaries.

He appealed to government to provide tax incentives for such benevolent organisations that support the vulnerable and marginalized in society to enable them to give more.
