Gershon Global Vision plants 7000 ornamental trees in STMA

Fijai (WR), June 10, GNA – The Gershon Global Vision, an NGO, is planting 7,000 ornamental species of trees to green the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis.

The project, with support from the US Forest Services, the Ghana Parks and Gardens, is crucial to avert deforestation, erosions and ultimately green the environment.

Ms Mary Pepertual Kwakuyi, Director of the NGO, told the GNA that schools, communities, and hospitals would benefit from the project.

She said some school children were educated on the need to preserve the environment.

The Director said the trees planted went through the needed agricultural practices to ensure their proper development.
