Hearts NCC debunk comments over being aided to win the league

Accra, May 21, GNA – The National Chapters Committee (NCC) of Accra Hearts of Oak has rubbished comments from a staunch Kotoko supporter Nii Darko who is alleged to have said that Hearts is being aided to win the league title.

According to a statement released by the supporter’s body, Nii Darko’s comment is frivolous and should be annulled by the public as Hearts represents a credible football club which believes in fair play.

“For the records, Accra Hearts of Oak has never been frustrated, despite not winning the league over a period of time, we believe in the proper preparation in putting together a competent squad worthy of a sort to win a football league.

“The allegations of Nii Darko can only be described as frivolous and the contentions are clearly baseless, and could only be said to be a product of delusion or fantasy.

“His claim is based on an indisputable meritless theory is only seen in people whose moral values have long been diminished,” the statement signed by its Chairman Mr. Elvis Herman Hesse said.

The statement urged supporters to stay focused and support the club as they quest to win the Premier League trophy and not be deceived by such delusional arguments.

The NCC also urged the leadership of Asante Kotoko to call Nii Darko to order as they believe in respecting the rules and regulations of football.
