Accra, April 27, GNA – Ghana’s Richmond Djarbeng is seeking a rematch with his Scottish opponent Lee William McAllister.
Djarbeng, 31-4-1 (25ko) has issued a warning challenge to former opponent McAllister 45-3 (18ko) for another showdown.
In an interview with GNA Sports, Djarbeng stated that he wanted the rematch after coming off two knockout wins since they last fought in October 2019.
Djarbeng, who had been very vocal on his disappointing performance in 2019, said he got injured in the run-up to the fight as he broke his fingers during training hence the defeat to his opponent in the first fight.
“I want to prove to the world I can beat Mc Allister. He isn’t big enough or strong enough at the weight to beat me when I’m fully prepared to fight.
“I would fight him again in his home city on May 29. I am also ready for him if he wants to fight me in Ghana.
“I hope he would not hide from me and give me this opportunity to come and redeem myself
and get the win I deserve as he knows I’m big and strong for him,” he declared.
