Accra, April 26, GNA – One of the experienced Women’s league clubs, Immigration Ladies suffered a 2-3 defeat to Ladystrikers in match-day 10 of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) played at the Mcdan La Town on Saturday.
It was Immigration Ladies who scored first through Linda Aba Mensah on the first minute before Gladys Amfobea’s 10th-minute goal to cancel the homers lead.
15 minutes after drawing level, Ladystrikers’ Catherine Arthur delivered a well-taken penalty to give her side the lead before Amfobea registered her name again on the scoresheet on the stroke of halftime.
Ladystrikers head into recess with a 3-1 scoreline, however, Immigration ladies came into the second stanza energized to at least grab a point from the match.
This almost yielded positive results after Immigration ladies Francisca Asabea 53rd goal but was not enough to draw parity.
The homers tried and chased for the equalizer but their efforts were denied by goalie Winnifred Nabbone.
The win gives Ladystrikers 17 points whilst Immigration ladies are stuck with five points after 10 matches.

Lions in match-day 11.
