Donkorkrom (E/R), March 1, GNA – The Kwahu Afram Plains North District Assembly has commissioned a three- unit classroom block with ancillary facilities for the Donkorkrom Islamic Junior High School to ease congestion in the old block.

The project would consist of a storeroom, office and an ICT laboratory, equipped with furniture for quality education delivery.

He said even though the school was located in Donkorkrom township, its facilities were poor, resulting in congestion in the classrooms, with some of the classes accommodating about 70 students, necessitating the assistance.
He said the facility would provide a conducive teaching and learning environment stressed that the assembly had spent millions on various projects in the Kwahu Afram Plains North District by providing services such as schools, CHPs compound, rehabilitation in most schools and medical supplies.

“We will continue to invest in education to ensure that the grassroot also have access to quality teaching”, he said and urged stakeholders to use the facility judiciously for the betterment of the people.

Mr Robert Andah Monney, the District Education Director urged the students to take their studies seriously to shine among their peers.

He expressed gratitude to the assembly and appealed for more support from benevolent organizations since the district had a lot of deprived communities, especially those on the island
