Cape Coast. Feb 12, GNA – Odeefuo Afankwa III, Paramount Chief of Breman Essiam Traditional Area on Friday emerged the winner of the Council of State elections held in Cape Coast.
He polled 31 votes of the total votes of 44 beating six other contestants in his bid to be the Regional representative of the Council of State.
He was followed by Mr. Kwesi Eyi Acquah had 13 votes, while Mr. Timothy Isaac Nana Bonful, Mr.Timothy Ebo Essandoh, and Mr. Badu-Prah Peter Amstrong King had zero votes each.
Mr Nkyi Kwame Patrick and Mr.Nana Kweku Awuku withdrew from the contest.
Odeefuo Afankwa, 50, said his vision was to lobby for the development of the Region and ensure local government actors were well resourced to work efficiently.
