Wa, (UW/R), Dec. 26, GNA – The Upper West Region office of MTN Ghana has donated assorted items including baby oil, baby diapers, soaps and wrappers among others to babies that were delivered on Christmas Day.
In all 20 babies at the Upper West Regional Hospital and the Wa Municipal Hospital benefited from the package.
Mr Kofi Owusu, the Upper West Regional Manager of the company, handing over the items, said the gesture was a token of appreciation to customers of MTN for their loyalty to the telecommunication network.
“If you want to show appreciation to someone, you need to touch his or her heart, and child birth is a moment of joy for mothers, that is why we decided to donate to them on this day”.
Mr Owusu expressed the hope that in subsequent years the offer would improve with more babies receiving gifts.
He urged the people to continuously patronise company’s products and services, and to also encourage their families and friends in order to benefit from their services.
Mr Owusu said he was sure that the new babies would grow to be worthy citizens.
The beneficiary mothers were thankful to Communication Company for the kind gesture and promised to use them for the intended purpose.
The Regional Manager was accompanied by other staff of the Telecommunication Network.
