Former President Promises free apprenticeship training at Akyem-Oda

Akyem-Oda Dec 5, GNA – Former President John Dramani Mahama, Flag bearer of the
National Democratic Congress (NDC)has stated that the National Apprenticeship Programme and the free Technical Vocational Training (TVET) would enable his administration to reach out to thousands of the Ghanaians to ensure sustainable sources of livelihoods for the people.

The former President said the next NDC government would review the structure of the Minerals Development Fund, to ensure that mining communities such as Oda and Akwatia benefited immensely from the mining activities.

He explained that the Free Primary Healthcare captured in the manifesto was to give an unrestricted access of quality healthcare to all Ghanaians by ensuring that no patient would be demanded to pay any fee before attended to, in any public health facility.

Mr Mahama said plans were advanced to expand the Oda government hospital in his next government and promised that the Oda sports stadium and the collapsed Oda Sawmills would be rehabilitated to provide jobs for the people in the area.

He told the people that the NDC was the only party interested in the welfare of Ghanaians and appealed to the electorate to give the NDC another chance come December 7, to continue where they left off in 2016
