Ejisu, (Ash), Sept. 8, GNA – Mr George Kwame Huze, the NDC parliamentary candidate for Ejisu, has pledged to empower the youth in the area when voted into office.
He said youth empowerment would be one of his topmost priority to help equip them with the needed skills, knowledge and competencies to create jobs for themselves.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Ejisu, Mr Huze said youth unemployment was one of the major challenges facing the people in the area.
He said when given the mandate, he would work to promote the establishment of agro-processing factories, especially rice mills, to add value to large quantities of rice cultivated in the constituency.
Mr Huze said NDC worked to provide many development projects in the Ejisu constituency and mentioned the construction of a Divisional Police Command, an eye clinic and emergency ward at the Ejisu government hospital, and the construction of basic schools.
He urged the people to vote NDC back into power to help continue with the good works in the constituency.
Mr Mohammed Mustaphar, the NDC constituency chairman, asked members of the party to check their names during the voter register exhibition exercise.
He urged NDC members to work hard to win more members for the party to help win the presidential and parliamentary elections.
