Ve-Golokuati (V/R), Aug. 10, GNA – A total of 10 eligible voters have been registered and issued with the new voter identity cards in the Afadzato South District at the end of the Electoral Commission’s (EC)mop-up registration exercise.
Two registrants got their voter cards on the first day of the exercise, while eight received theirs on day two.
Mr. Michael Owusu Amoh, Afadzato South Electoral Officer commended the Registration Officers and agents of the political parties for a successful exercise.
Mr John Komla Aboh, New Patriotic Party (NPP) party agent told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the two-day exercise was successful.
Mr Nelson Aniewu, National Democratic Congress (NDC) said the mop-up exercise in the District had not recorded any challenged cases.
He said the EC officers were cooperative and worked together with the parties.
Four out of the 10 registered used guarantors, while the rest used the Ghana card.
