Gomoa Central endorses MP to contest Parliamentary elections

Pomadze (C/R), June 21, GNA – The Gomoa Central Constituency delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have reaffirmed the candidature of Mrs Naana Eyiah Quansah, the incumbent MP, to contest the upcoming December 7 general elections.
The 362 delegates from 66 polling stations of the constituency endorsed Mrs Eyiah Quansah who is also the Deputy Minister of Lands, Forestry and Natural Resources, to continue her good work.

The process was supervised by Ms Juliana Asante, Gomoa Central District Director of Electoral Commission (EC) and Mr Louis Mensah, Returning Officer of EC in charge of the District.

Speaking to the media, Mr Anthony Kwesi Sackey, Central Regional Youth Organizer, urged supporters of the party especially the youth to work hard to double the votes recorded in the 2016 election.

He urged the youth to desist from acts that would create chaos, misunderstanding and confusion in the society.

Madam Charlotte Adjoa Antwi, Central Regional Women’s Organizer of NPP, expressed appreciation to the delegates for the confidence reposed in Mrs Eyiah Quansah to retain her unopposed to contest the election again.
She called for unity, understanding and cooperation among supporters of the party to work extra hard to help retrain the seat in the upcoming Parliamentary elections.

Alhaji Omar Adams, Gomoa Central Constituency Chairman, asked supporters of the party to eschew acts that would hinder the progress and expectation of the party.

He called on supporters of the party to work as a team in order to increase the votes for the Party in December.

Mrs Naana Eyiah Quansah thanked the delegates for the confidence and trust reposed in her to endorse her candidature unopposed.

She appealed to the supporters to bury their differences and unite to ensure victory for the party.

The MP added that it is noteworthy that no political antagonism was recorded within the last four years in the Constituency.
