ADASEC ready for re-opening

Adaklu Waya (V/R), June 16, GNA – Mr Bartholomew Kudzo Hosu, the Headmaster of Adaklu Senior High School (ADASEC), said the School was ready to welcome final year students to prepare for their examinations.

He said with assistance from the Adaklu District Assembly, Zoomlion Ghana Limited had fumigated all classrooms and dormitories ahead of the reopening.

Mr Hosu said the School was also in touch with the Assembly for the provision of Veronica buckets and hand sanitizers to help stop the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

He said management had decided to reduce each class size to 25 to ensure social distancing, adding; “luckily for us we have only 206 finalists so we do not have problem with classrooms.”

Teachers teaching lower classes were also being mobilised to assist, he said.

The Headmaster said the old dining hall was being refurbished to be used alongside the new one “so that meal times will not eat into our class contact hours”.

The reopening of schools was per the President’s directive to allow final year students of junior and senior high schools and tertiary institutions to prepare for their exit examination.
