This was in a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra.

The statement which quoted Mrs Janet Torgbor El- Aschkar, the Chairperson, Passion for Needy, said the gesture was part of the Organisation’s annual Founder’s Day by Prophet T.B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations to show love to the refugees and also celebrate his birthday which falls on June 12.

She said the donation was the direction of Prophet Joshua to support individual households and especially visit the Camp, which housed citizens from different countries around the globe.

“With the outbreak of the coronavirus, the Organisation thought it prudent to present these items to you and also encourage you to observe the prescribed preventive measures to curb the spread of the virus.

We believe a lot of you are facing economic challenges and our ‘widow’s might’ can help make the difference in your lives”, she said.

Mrs Aschkar said the world is currently in perilous times because most countries on the continent are battling with the virus which has affected many lives due to the lockdown.
She implored on corporate bodies to come to the aid of the vulnerable in society to put smiles on their faces.

Mr Bannerman Martin, the Camp Manager, who received the items commended the Organisation for the donation and promised to distribute them to all the members.
