Global Evangelical Church donates cash, PPE to Apromase Hospital

Accra, June 2, GNA – The Global Evangelical Church (GEC) Head Office has donated an amount of GHC15,000 and assorted Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to its Mission Hospital at Apromase in the Ejisu-Juaben district of the Ashanti Region.

Donating the items on behalf of the Church, Mr. Eyram Atsu, the Board Chairman of the Hospital, said GHC10, 000 of the amount was from the Head Office, while an additional amount of GHC 5,850 was raised by some members of the church.

Mr Atsu said the donation was a response to an emergency request made by the Management of the Hospital to the GEC Head Office to provide it with PPEs to protect its Staff in the fight against the novel Coronavirus pandemic (Covid 19).

“Today I am donating a total cash amount of a little over Fifteen Thousand Ghana cedis. Ten thousand of the total amount came from our Church Head Office, while the remaining amount was through some members of the church and myself. The Head office also added some PPEs to enable the staff here fight the novel coronavirus.”

In all, the PPE included; 20 safety boots, 20 overall gowns, 17 goggles and two boxes of nose and faces masks.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Hospital, Mr. Faith Amanful,the Administrator expressed gratitude to the GEC Head Office for the prompt response to their request.

He noted that, after the Head Office support, they have also received hand sanitizers, veronica buckets, examination gloves, tissue paper, liquid soap , goggles, safety boots, water (bottled and satchets) and overall gowns from some individuals and institutions.

The Hospital Administrator said, his outfit received the above support from OSEIBENZ Ventures, Jesus Prayer Ministry, Ejisu and Rev. Johanness Ami.

Mr Amanful pledged all the items received would be used by staff to protect themselves in the discharge of their duties to stem the spread and appealed to others to support them.
