Kumasi, May 13, GNA – Mr George Afful, Ashanti Regional Manager of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), has assured visitors to the facility of their safety in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
He said the Authority had put in place an elaborate precautionary measures to ensure that both staff and visitors were protected from contracting the dreadful virus.
Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, he said his outfit was following all the preventive protocols outlined by the Ghana Health Service and the government to prevent the further spread of the virus.
He said the outbreak of the pandemic and the subsequent lockdown in the Greater Kumasi, had affected the work and revenue of the Authority.
Mr Afful said the Authority was working to ensure that all people who visited the facility, as well as the staff observed all the protocols put in place.
Ms. Bernice Fosuah Kyeretwie, Assistant Regional Manageress, In-charge of Client Service, urged visitors to be patient with the security personnel, who had been mandated to ensure strict compliance of the various precautionary measures put in place at the facility.
