Juabeso DCE donates towards Eid-ul-Fitr in Juabeso

Sefwi- Juabeso (W/N) May 9, GNA – The District Chief Executive for Sefwi -Juabeso District of the Western North Region, Madam Martha Kwayie Manu, has presented items worth hundreds of cedis to Muslim communities in the district for the celebration of this year’s Edi-Ul-Fitr.

The items comprise 66 bags of rice, 20 bags of Suger, five boxes of Lipton tea bag, two boxes of Milo, and five cartons of milk.

The DCE said the donation formed part of the government and assembly’s support to the Muslim communities as they fast for 30 days.

Madam Manu, who is also the Parliamentary candidate of the NPP, commended Muslims in the district for peacefully co-existing with non-Muslims and asked them to adhere to the accepted protocols aimed at eradicating COVID-19 pandemic.

She encouraged them to continue praying for the country and the district in these trying times, adding that the government and district assembly would continue to assist Muslims in the district.

She encouraged them to use the month of fasting to pray for Allah’s forgiveness and favor to help fight COVID-19 which has become a global pandemic.

She called on the youth to be disciplined and ensure peace before, during, and after this year’s general elections.

Alhaji Iddrisu Mohammed, Juabeso District Chief Iman who received the items on behalf of all Muslims in the district, thanked the assembly for the kind gesture and promised that Muslims in the district would continue to pray for the country and the Juabeso district assembly.

The District Chief Iman urged all Muslims to adhere to the president’s directive and pray at home as Allah was in support of that.

He advised Ghanaians to regularly wash their hands with soap under running water, frequently use hand sanitizer, observe social and physical distancing, avoid crowded places and stay at home since that was the only way they could defeat the virus.
