Takoradi, May 6, GNA – The Western Regional Branch of Hollard Insurance as part of its effort to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, has donated Personal Protective items to the Western Regional branch of the GPRTU in Takoradi.
The donation is in line with the company’s effort to help curtail the spread of the virus.
Mr. Isdor Oheneba, the Regional Branch Manager of Hollard Insurance, presenting the face masks and hand sanitizers, to the Transport Union said the Company’s ultimate aim was to ensure the safety of its customers and the general public during this stressful period.
The company also believes in complementing the effort of the government to curb the spread of the virus.
He said the head office of the Insurance firm has already supported the COVID-19 Fund with GHC 100,000.00, “We also deem it appropriate as a branch to support in our own small, communities and partners we do business within the Region.
He challenged the drivers and transport authorities to use the same zeal in fighting road accidents and other road-related issues in fighting the virus by adhering to the laid down protocols.
Mr. George Senkyere, the Union’s Advisor who represented the Chairman, was grateful to Hollard for the gesture especially in these uncertain situations.
He promised their maximum cooperation and adherence to all the laid down protocols in curbing the spread of the disease.
