Kparekpare (O/R), May 05, GNA – Mr Michael Yaw Gyato, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Krachi East, Oti Region, has presented 200 dual desks and 129 marker boards to the Municipal Directorate of Education.
The items are to be distributed to basic schools that lacked furniture in the Constituency to enhance quality teaching and learning.
The MP said the desks were procured through the Ghana Education Trust Fund and urged the Municipal Director to ensure that they got to the beneficiary schools.
He said plans were afoot to ensure that schools in the Constituency moved from the use of a chalkboard to whiteboards.
Mrs Georgina Mensah, the Municipal Director of Education, expressed gratitude to the MP for the gesture, saying the items would help ensure quality academic work.
