Bawjiase (C/R), April 25, GNA – Elder Paul Elisha Asamoah, Founder of United Hearts Foundation, a faith-based organization, has called on Ghanaians to do all they can to protect themselves and others from contracting the COVID-19 Pandemic.
“The disease should not be taken for granted, let us stay alive, stay at home if you have nothing critical to do in town since the pandemic is still around us,” he stated.
Elder Asamoah made the call when his Foundation distributed some sanitary items and food items valued at GH¢7,000.00 to some needy persons, aged and widows in Awutu Bawjiase.
The items include 100 of the 5kg bag of rice, 30 veronica buckets, 50 boxes of oil, bundles of tissues, nose masks, liquid soap and hand sanitizers.
Elder Asamoah said the donation formed part of the Foundation’s objectives, to support the vulnerable during this difficult period.
According to him, the Foundation since its establishment, has been extending helping hand to the needy and vulnerable in the Bawjiase community by paying medical bills and occasionally providing food items.
He advised the public to comply strictly with the directives and instructions put in place to help win the fight against the novel Coronavirus by wearing nose masks and observing physical distancing to help prevent the spread of the pandemic.
The doors of the Foundation, he indicated, were opened to receive items from philanthropies for further distribution to helpless persons in the area.
Madam Faustina Tetteh, a beneficiary, thanked the Founder and the entire management of the Foundation for easing the plight of the people in the area and called for others to emulate it.
Later the veronica buckets were placed at some vantage points in the community for use by the public.
