Mckenzie Gh presents nose masks to police and military

Sunyani, April 22, GNA – Mckenzie Ghana, a Sunyani-based local manufacturing company on Tuesday, presented protective materials worth 10,000 Ghana cedis to two security services in the Bono Region.

The Police and Amoured Regiment of the Third Garrison (3BN) received 250 nose masks each, to be distributed among the security officials.

Mr Michael Asare Yeboah, the Chief Executive Officer of Mckenzie Gh, accompanied by Mr Kwame Anning Frimpong, the Managing Director of the company, said the police and military were front-liners in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and therefore deserved to be protected.

He said the two institutions required public support to strengthen them and boost the morale of the security officials in the discharge of their frontal roles, to stem the nationwide spread of the virus.

Lieutenant Colonel Kofi Obiri-Yeboah, the Commanding Officer, 154 Armoured Regiment, thanked the company for the support, and appealed for more Personal Protective Equipment to protect personnel (PPE) from contracting the virus.

Chief Superintendent Eric Amartey of the Bono Regional Police Command said so far, only Mckenzie Gh has made such a donation to the Command and appealed to the public to come to their aid.

He indicated that without the PPE, the police personnel remained vulnerable in the fight against COVID-19, and called for government support.
