Youth asked not to panic over Coronavirus

Adaklu Waya (V/R), March 29, GNA – Mr Stephen Obimpeh, Adaklu District Coordinator of Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has asked young people not to panic over the spread of COVID 19 in the country.

He said this was because the government was leaving no stone unturned to control the spread and eliminate the pandemic and that the dust would settle soon.

Mr Obimpeh who was speaking with the Ghana News Agency in a telephone interview, therefore, entreated all Ghanaians to join hands with the government to achieve that goal.

“We all have a huge role to play to drive out this monster from our midst before it devours all of us,” he said.

Mr Obimpeh entreated the youth to be at the forefront by educating the citizenry to abide by the directives of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and health experts.

He reminded them to regularly wash their hands with soap under running water and practice social distancing.

Mr Obimpeh who is also the Adaklu Constituency Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party, called for a concerted effort in increasing surveillance in the District.

He said work of all modules under the YEA in the District had been suspended until further notice.

The Coordinator said his outfit was sourcing for funds from philanthropist and organizations to purchase sanitizers and protective gear for health personnel in the District.
