Tamale, Aug 26, GNA – Right Reverend Dr Lieutenant Colonel Bliss Divine Agbeko (Rtd), Moderator of the General Assembly of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Ghana has advised Christians to be loyal to God and the nation.

He gave the advice during the thanksgiving service of the Church at its 11th Annual General Assembly held in Tamale on the theme: “Care for God’s Creation, The Mission of the Church (Gen. 2:15, Rom. 8, John 15:16)”.

The five-day event was to review the work of the General Assembly, discuss issues, take necessary decisions, form policies and ensure discipline and conformity to rules and regulations that would guide the church for the journey ahead until the next General Assembly in 2026.

Right Reverend Dr Agbeko (Rtd) urged Christians to repent from their disobedience and respond to God’s work.

He entreated Christians to be ambassadors for peace by using their platforms to promote peace during and after this year’s elections.

Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) called on the citizenry to be loyal to the environment by protecting it for sustainable development.

He said the next NDC government would put measures in place to protect the environment.
