Akwatia, May 29, GNA-Four persons have donated assorted facilities to the St Roses Senior High School, at Akwatia in the Denkyembuor District of the Eastern Region to improve teaching and learning.
They are Dr Victor Abbey, the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) chairman of the school, who installed security cameras in the school at a cost of Gh35,000, Mr Isaac Amable, chairman of the Eastern Region Gold Dealers Association, who donated 60 complete set of Airforce cadet Uniforms at a cost of GHS 21,000.00.
Others are Mr Isaac Anu, a gold dealer who also drilled two boreholes with two Water tanks costing GHS 32,000 and office furniture worth GHS 5,000 and Nana Kwame Asumadu, a parent who also provided 10 dustbins worth GH3,000 to the school.
The headmistress of the school, madam Marian Esi Jackson, who received the items during a PTA meeting in the school was grateful to the donors for their kind gesture and appealed to others to support the school.
She mentioned the need for a new dining hall and Library to serve the interest of the over 1,700 student population noting that students were dining in sessions due to the inadequate space to contain all of them at the same time.
