Hohoe, (V/R), Feb. 16, GNA – The Bui Power Authority, is set to construct a mechanised borehole for the Alavanyo Abehenease community to improve access to quality drinking water.
The borehole which will have a polytank to serve as a storage source is to be constructed at an estimated cost of GH¢43,000.
Mr Gabriel Apatu, Community Relations Officer, led a team from the Bui Power Authority and presented the cheque to Mr Divine Amlado.
Mr Amlado, the Managing Director, Cyzales Drilling Enterprise, a construction firm, said the project would be completed in two months.
Mr David Anku Boateng, acting Assembly member for the Community expressed gratitude to the Authority for the gesture.
He said the late Assembly member in charge of the community was instrumental in getting a source of potable water for the community before his demise.
Mr Boateng said it was important that he ensured the completion of the project in honour of his colleague and to the benefit of the community.
Togbe Komla Kunde V, Chief of Alavanyo-Abehenease, present, expressed gratitude to the Authority for their support.
