Ho, Nov. 12, GNA-The Child Development Workers (CDWs) has presented assorted items worth over 5,000 Ghana Cedis were presented to the Child Health Sub Budget Management Centre (SBMC) of the Ho Teaching Hospital.
The items were procured by Child Development Workers (CDWs) of the 15 Frontline Church Partners (FCPs) of Adaklu/Agotime Cluster from their own resources.
The FCPs established Child Development Centres with support from Compassion International Ghana, a Child development Non-Governmental Organisation.
Mrs. Emily Adevor, Project Facilitator of the Cluster intimated that the donation was their widow’s mite towards the upkeep of children on admission at the Centre.
She said as Child development workers they would continue to work to improve the living conditions of not only the sponsored children under their care, but also the less privileged ones in their catchment areas.
Ms Senam Korve, SBMC who received the items on behalf of the Centre was grateful to the CDWs for their gesture.
She assured that the items would be distributed to the children who were on admission at the Centre.
Ms Korve appealed to other NGOs and philanthropists to emulate the shining example of the CDWs.
Eight year old Master Elikplim Dornyo, a beneficiary of the items, said the items were timely as it would support their parents to reduce the cost of catering for them at the hospital.
