NARPO presents a brand new Toyota bus to Volta Regional branch

Ho, June 24, GNA – Commissioner of Police (COP), Mr Joseph Boakye-Appiah (RTD), president of the National Association of Retired Police Officers (NARPO) has presented a 18-seater brand new Toyota Bus to the Volta Regional chapter of the Association at Ho.

He said the region was the first beneficiary of this largesse since his assumption of office, and was aimed to provide a means of transportation to the Association.

Mr Appiah presented the Bus as part of its Functional Executive Committee visit to Ho on Thursday.

He said despite the challenges inherited, his administration was determined to turn the tide and put in place measures that would make the Association progress into an enviable one amongst its peers.

He said as part of the NARPO- Gh functional executive committee visit, an amount of GH¢ 100,000,00 was donated to the Volta chapter to support the efforts at completing the Regional Secretariat facility project.

The NARPO President praised the Volta Regional chairman and his team for the hard work, commitment and dedication to the course of the Association and urged members to continue to be relevant in nation building.

He appealed to Ghanaians and active servicemen and women particularly in the Volta Region to work hand in hand to support the retired Police officers, who could serve as resources for the Police administration.

Mr Victor Adetor, The Volta Regional Chairman of NARPO said currently there are eight NARPO-GH districts in the Volta region with a total membership of 342 retired Police Officers.

He commended the Association for the visit and assured the Committee of their maximum support and cooperation.

The Members of the Police Management Board, serving officers and the Volta Regional Police band graced at the occasion.
